Laser Eyebrow Removal

Whether you're looking to remove discoloured, uneven or outdated brow tattoos, I offer targeted treatments designed specifically for the delicate skin around your eyes. Using advanced light-based technology, each session is customised to safely fade pigment and help restore your natural look with care, precision and outstanding results.

How is it done?

Laser removal is carried out using a compact laser machine with a precision handpiece, specially designed to treat delicate areas like the brows. This device delivers targeted energy directly to the pigment while remaining gentle on the skin, ensuring safe, controlled results with minimal discomfort.

It works by breaking down the pigment particles in your skin using short pulses of light energy, these particles are broken into tiny fragments, which are then naturally absorbed by your body’s lymphatic system and flushed out over time.

Multiple treatments are generally needed as each session helps fade the pigment bit by bit. How many depends on the pigment, how deep it is, how old the tattoo is and how your skin reacts.

Why Choose Laser Brow Removal?

If your brows have shifted to unexpected colours like grey, blue, green or orange, or if multiple layers of pigment have built up over time, laser removal offers a smarter solution than simply adding more. Brows that are patchy, uneven or overly saturated can be tough to fix with correction alone -  especially if the skin’s overloaded or the shape isn’t quite right.

Laser brow removal is ideal for:

  • Clearing space for a fresh microblading or brow tattoo
  • Restoring natural shape and tone
  • Lifting unwanted colours that no longer suit you
  • Starting over when correction isn’t an option

Whether you’re unhappy with old results or simply ready for a clean slate, laser removal gets to the root of the issue safely and effectively - helping you reclaim brows that truly feel like you.

"I believe if someone knows how to put pigment into the skin, they should also know how to remove it"

Correction or Laser?

One of the biggest misconceptions in permanent makeup is that every set of brows can be fixed by simply adding more pigment. But when the skin becomes overloaded and pigment builds up over time, brows can appear uneven and shift to unwanted tones like grey, blue, green or orange.

Rather than forcing another layer, laser removal offers the quickest and most effective way to clear pigment safely. Using advanced light-based technology, it gently breaks down ink particles without harming the skin, making way for beautiful, natural-looking brows that heal and age gracefully.

Each laser brow removal session is £80, with most clients needing 1–2 sessions to lighten enough for new brows. Full removal may take 4–6 sessions, depending on pigment type, saturation and your skin’s response.

Undo and Redo

Laser removal is a smart solution for brows that are too saturated for correction. Just one session (as shown in this photo) can visibly lift pigment and create a clearer canvas for fresh microblading. Instead of adding more this approach restores balance, giving space for soft, even and natural brows.

At Tiptop, we offer an exclusive Undo & Redo package — laser brow removal is just £40 per session when booked as part of your brow refresh journey. Most clients need 1–3 sessions depending on pigment saturation, age of the tattoo and individual skin response. If you choose to have your brows redone with us after removal, your discounted sessions help create a smoother, more balanced canvas, ready for beautiful new brows.

Your Brow Removal Journey...

Consultation & Patch Test

Before starting laser brow removal, a consultation and patch test are required at least 24 hours before treatment. This allows us to assess your skin, review your pigment, and customise your treatment plan safely.

The patch test involves applying a small spot of laser to check your skin’s reaction and how the pigment begins to lift. Medical and consent forms will be emailed in advance and must be completed before your appointment.

On the day, we’ll review your forms, discuss your suitability, and guide you through the process, preparation, and what to expect afterwards. It's also a great opportunity to ask questions and feel confident moving forward.

This appointment takes around 30 minutes, and treatment cannot begin until the patch test is complete and your skin has settled — typically after 24 hours.

Before Your Laser Session

To get the best results from your laser brow removal, please follow these tips:

  • Avoid sunbeds, tanning creams and sun exposure on the brow area for 30 days before treatment. Use SPF 30+ daily.
  • Stop using exfoliating products like AHA, BHA, Retinol at least 2 weeks before.
  • No alcohol or caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Stay hydrated and eat a good meal beforehand.
  • Avoid blood-thinning medications for 48 hours (unless prescribed — speak to your doctor first)

Your Laser Removal Session

Arrival & Prep You’ll be welcomed in and we’ll check how your skin reacted to the patch test. If all is well, we’ll prep the area by gently cleaning the skin and applying a cool compress.

Laser Treatment The laser will be passed over the brow area using short, controlled pulses of light. These pulses break down the pigment beneath the skin’s surface into tiny particles.   You may feel a mild snapping sensation a bit like a rubber band, but the process is quick and only lasts a few minutes per brow.

Cooling & Soothe Immediately afterwards we cool the area again to reduce any heat, redness or swelling. This keeps your skin in tip top condition and helps support recovery.

Aftercare Review We’ll go over how to care for your skin over the next few days and book in another session or a review appointment for 8 weeks time.

Aftercare Advice

Caring for your skin after laser brow removal is essential for safe healing and the best results. It’s normal to experience redness, swelling, warmth, scabbing or temporary darkening of the pigment; to support proper healing. Keep the area clean and dry, avoid touching or scratching, stay out of the sun until healed (then apply SPF 30+), skip makeup, creams, tanning, heat and exercise for a few days and drink plenty of water to aid recovery. A detailed aftercare guide will be emailed to you after each session to help you care for your skin properly.

FAQ's

Without knowing what type of pigment was used, how much or how deeply the pigment was implanted into your skin – and because skin types vary – it is impossible to know how many treatments will be needed to achieve satisfactory results. No guarantee can be given as to how many sessions will be required for any individual. However, most clients generally notice a significant amount of colour has been removed even after just one treatment.

The main differences between cosmetic tattooing and traditional body tattoos are the techniques and types of ink compounds used; fortunately, cosmetic tattoos are usually much easier to remove, and most cosmetic eyebrow treatments take between 1-3 laser sessions, spaced at 8-12-week intervals.

Laser PMU Removal treatment can be uncomfortable, however it is very quick and only takes a few minutes per eyebrow and anaesthetic is not required. We cool the skin with ice before, during and after the treatment. It is normal to feel heat and the sensation is often compared to the feeling of a rubber band snapping against your skin. We always allow plenty of time for each appointment so that you can take breaks in between shots, if required.

After treatment it’s normal to experience minor to moderate pinpoint bleeding, redness, swelling, tenderness and even blisters - these symptoms may appear immediately or a few days after. It is important not to pick the scabs and pop the blisters or you risk scarring. It is also normal to experience scabbing as the skin heals. We strongly recommend planning your appointment around any social commitments.

Healing time varies for each individual, no guarantee can be given as to how long it will take an individual to fully heal post treatment. Surface healing normally takes up to 2 weeks, in most cases the skin should return back to normal within 5-7 days. Inner healing takes longer - it can generally take 6-8 weeks for the skin to fully heal.

The pigments usually used for semi-permanent tattoos consists of a variety of compounds made up of the primary colours - red, yellow and blue. At your first session we will use a filter to target the darker blue ink. It is not unusual for the iron used in tattoo compounds, (in particular cosmetic tattoos) to oxidise when treated with a laser - this can temporarily turn into a rusty brown / orange / pink colour after the first or second laser treatment. This is nothing to worry about as at subsequent treatments we will use a different filter to target the remaining red and yellow pigment, if required.

Yellow pigment can be more difficult to remove than other colours as it doesn’t absorb laser light as well. However, with the right laser technology it's possible to fade yellow ink over time. In some cases, saline removal can be a great alternative or used alongside laser to help lift stubborn yellow pigment. Saline works differently by drawing the pigment out of the skin, making it useful for colours that are resistant to laser. Every case is unique, so we’ll assess your pigment and discuss the best options for your removal journey during your consultation.

You need to wait a minimum of 8 weeks in between each session to allow the skin enough time to fully heal. In some cases we may recommend waiting longer in between, particularly for more mature or sensitive skin.

Yes, once enough pigment has been removed and your skin has fully healed a minimum of 8 weeks after the final laser session before having new permanent eyebrow makeup.
