Permanent makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing where pigment is implanted into the upper layers of the skin. Treatments are gentle and appropriate for all ages, skin types, and genders. Although similar, they are not as invasive as a normal tattoo, while the pigment does fade over time, the rate of fading varies based on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and skincare routine. We use the term “permanent” because results can last for years, and in some cases, may never fully fade.
Permanent makeup has become the choice of many due to various reasons, mostly because it makes us look good. It improves our self-esteem and saves us a lot of time and money while avoiding daily application of conventional makeup.
Whether you are a busy mum, a sporty individual, a professional with back to back meetings or someone with a hectic schedule, Permanent Makeup will save you time day in day out. This means you can literally wake up and go as your fabulous and confident self ready to take on the day ahead, never worrying about it smudging or fading again!
Initial Consultation & First Session:
We begin with a detailed consultation to chat through your desired results taking into account your features, style and preferences. Amy will map out the ideal shape and colour before carefully implanting the pigment. The first session takes a more subtle approach, especially if you're feeling a little nervous.
Perfecting Session (6 Weeks Later):
Once your brows (or lips/eyeliner) have healed you’ll return for your top up session. This is where we review how the pigment has settled and makes any necessary tweaks to refine the shape, colour or depth. It’s also your chance to go a little bolder if you'd like!
Why Two Appointments?
Because every skin heals differently, the second session allows us to refine the shape, colour or depth and touch up any areas that may have faded to ensure your final results are beautifully balanced, long lasting and just what you envisioned.
We offer free consultations, either in person or via a quick phone call so you can chat with Amy, ask any questions and explore the best options for you. There's absolutely no obligation to book afterwards, it's just a great way to learn more about the procedure helping you make an informed decision on whether it's right for you or not. If you're considering brows Amy can even pre-draw a shape during your in-person visit to give you an idea of the finished look. Both options are available to book online for your convenience.
Eyebrow Treatments
Do not tweeze, wax, or dye brows for 2 days prior to brows treatments.
Eyeliner Treatments
Remove contact lenses and do not wear them again for the next 5 days while the area heals. Remove eyelash extensions at least 24 hours before and avoid using any lash growth serums for a minimum of 1 week before and after your treatment.
Lip Treatments
The condition of your lips can impact the outcome of the lip blush treatment. Ensure your lips are well hydrated for smooth application & optimal colour results. If you've ever had cold sores, it's strongly advised to start antiviral medication 5 days before & continue after to prevent outbreaks.
After your treatment, you'll receive a healing pack that includes everything you need to care for your permanent makeup.
After the healing period
Always use SPF cream or lip balm to protect your permanent makeup from sun fading.

Permanent Makeup will not only give you beautiful long lasting makeup, it can make a life changing difference to those who have sparse eyebrows or no hair, have difficulty applying makeup themselves, reduce time on daily makeup routines and give you 100% smudge proof and waterproof makeup.
Permanent Makeup is long lasting and will remain in the skin for years depending on your skin type, lifestyle and care. I use high quality ink pigments so your colour will only fade to a lighter colour of itself. I recommend booking a 12 - 18 month Colour Boost appointment to keep your shape and colour looking fresh and avoid having to have a full new treatment years later.
It is safe, we work in a very hygienic, safe and sterile environment and everything that comes into contact with the client is sterile and then disposed of correctly. Needles and microblades are pre-sterilised and fully disposable and a new one is used for every treatment. All ink pigments are hypo-allergenic, they meet all of the FDA & EU Regulations for safety and are also vegan and cruelty free. And although allergic reactions are rare, we will also perform a patch test to rule out any allergic reaction to our products being used.
There is no age limit!
Your skin's tone and thickness are taken into account so there is no reason why older clients can't benefit, in fact, mature woman may have more reasons than any to opt for permanent make up!
I will apply a topical numbing cream to the skin before the treatment takes place. This numbs the area making the treatment more comfortable. You may feel a slight discomfort whereas some people don't feel it & have been known to fall asleep!
The treated area will be very sensitive for a few days and can take up to 2 weeks to heal. I will provide you with an aftercare pack and instructions which must be followed to ensure your new treatment is looked after and stays at its very best.
You will be at the centre of the whole process, we will work with you to find the most achievable natural shape and colour to match your hair colour and skin tone.
Immediately after a treatment the colour will be intense and appear darker than the final result. There may also be some swelling and redness which will settle quickly.
During the consultation you will have the opportunity to discuss what it is you would like to achieve. With my knowledge I can help you decide what colours, shapes and styles would best suit your natural colouring, features, image and style. The consultation process also gives us the chance to identify
any possible contraindications and enables you to make an informed choice.
Body tattoos traditionally tend to last forever, meanwhile, the pigments for semi-permanent makeup usually last up to three years or so and slowly fades in that time. For permanent makeup, the pigment is placed into the skin at only a third of the depth of a traditional tattoo, therefore, the colour is much softer.
Yes! I just recommend that you apply an antiviral cream such as Zovirax 5 days prior to and 5 days after treatment.
Ideally it would be best to have your permanent makeup treatment first, if this isn't possible, I recommend you wait at least 6 weeks after to ensure you're fully healed.
I ask for a £50 deposit, this can be made anytime via bank transfer or in cash during the consultation. The remaining balance will be due in full on the day of your first treatment either by cash or card.
Not at all! The initial procedure costs can vary and to keep it looking it's best we recommended you get your makeup touched up every 1-3 years. Permanent makeup needs to have faded at least 50-70% in order to be topped up, the timeline for this varies for each person.
With any procedure there are always risks of infection. I follow strict a strict cleaning regime and all needles are sterilised and single use. Aftercare instructions will be given to you prior to the procedure and must be adhered to to minimise any risk of infection during the healing stages.
Many people can benefit from permanent makeup. Some may just want a subtle enhancement to their natural features, whilst others may desire a more dramatic look. It can be truly valuable to those with impaired vision, an unsteady hand or allergies to conventional makeup. Those that lead an active lifestyle and wish to look their best during activities such as swimming or going to the gym may also benefit. Many women can feel dissatisfied with their sparse eyebrows, or also others who have lost hair due to alopecia or chemotherapy. Some just want to look their best at all times or simply don’t have time to apply makeup every morning.
Anyone who does not meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years. Anyone with a serious medical condition may require a doctor’s letter. Pregnant clients are unfortunately unsuitable for treatments.
Unfortunately, we are not insured to perform any permanent makeup treatment on anybody that is pregnant.
If you are breast feeding you can get permanent makeup but we ask you to express 12-24 hours before your appointment and you discard any milk produced from 24 hours from having the anaesthetic.
