Ear lobes are the softest part of the ear, making it the least painful piercing feeling more like a pinch. The lobes can be pierced up to 3 times on each side or stretched to wear plugs or tunnels.
Must be aged 7 or over
Pain level 2/10
Healing time between 6-8 weeks
This is the upper cartilage area of the ear, it's thin so it isn't the most painful but will be more than the pinch felt with an earlobe piercing. The helix is suitable for everyone and can be pierced multiple times depending on the size of the ear.
Pain level 4/10
Healing time between 3-9 months
This is the flat area at the top of the ear, everyone is able to get this pierced and is an ideal spot for a few dainty studs or one larger statement piece.
Pain level 4/10
Healing time between 3-9 months
AKA anti-helix is the part of the helix where the cartilage attaches to the head above the tragus. Like the helix, the cartilage is quite thin but can take longer to heal as it's more exposed to bacteria. As this is a small area it may not be suited to everyone.
Pain level 5/10
Healing time between 6-12 months
The tragus is the triangular piece of cartilage to the side of your ear canal. It's thick so you may feel some pressure. The shape of the tragus varies greatly from person to person however if your tragus is too thin or too small you may not be able to get this piercing.
Pain level 5/10
Healing time between 3-9 months
The anti-tragus is the triangular cartilage just above the earlobe. It's a very small area and some people aren’t right for it. If your cartilage is too small you can opt for an upper lobe piercing which looks similar and wont hurt as much.
Pain level 6/10
Healing time between 6-12 months
The daith is the inner fold of cartilage just above the ear canal. It's a popular choice for treating migraines and chronic headaches as it's believed that when the piercing hits this acupressure point, known as the vagus nerve, it can help relieve migraine pain.
Pain level 7/10
Healing time between 6-9 months
The conch is the cartilage at the middle of the ear and can be pierced in different ways - The inner conch is lower in the ear and usually decorated with a stud. The outer conch is closer to the helix and looks great with a large hoop around the edge of the ear.
Pain level 5/10
Healing time between 6-9 months
The snug is the thick cartilage on the outer edge of your ear, the jewellery sits horizontally with both ends visible from the front making it a unique and unusual piercing. It's more painful as the needle needs to pass through two layers of cartilage. If the area is too flat you may not be able to get this piercing.
Pain level 9/10
Healing time between 6-12 months
The rook is the fold of cartilage in front of the forward-helix, if the fold isn't pronounced enough it wont be able to be pierced. Like the snug both ends of the jewellery is visible from the front but this time it sits vertically.
Pain level 8/10
Healing time between 6-12 months
AKA Industrial, is a combination of two piercings, one at the helix and the other towards the forward-helix, connected by a single straight piece of jewellery. Not everyone's ears are suited to this if the top of your ear is too curved the bar wont sit correctly and won't be able to be pierced.
Pain level 7/10
Healing time between 6-9 months
Nose piercing be placed anywhere on the nostril but most typically placed in the crease of the nose where the cartilage is thinnest. This can be pierced with a hoop or a stud.
Pain level 7/10
Healing time between 2-4 months
Also known as a belly button piercing, is a piercing through the skin around your belly button usually in upper fold of skin.

"I visited Amy for a Daith piercing as I suffer from very bad migraines and headaches. Amy is very professional and talks you through everything from having the piercing to aftercare. The piercing Amy has done is great and she has a good selection of earrings to choose from. I highly recommend Amy and would not hesitate to use her in the future. The studio is very clean and in a very good location for free parking."
"Amy kindly responded to my WhatsApp request to book an appointment on a Sunday and managed to book me in for the coming Tuesday with short notice. She made me feel at ease instantly and the actual piercing was super quick and (almost) pain free! Amy is friendly and gentle in her technique and I will definitely be back to have more piercings done in future. Thanks again!"
"Highly recommended. So I visited Amy yesterday for a Daith piercing as I've suffered with migraines for over 25years and my GP suggested trying it. I was worried it was going to hurt but Amy was so calm a d professional, she was quick and the whole procedure was under 60 seconds. I LOVE the earing and time will tell about the migraines but I'm looking forward to booking in for more piercings with her soon."
"Had a second lobe done and my 7yo daughter had her ears pierced for the first time. Amy was calm and reassuring. Had an email reminder. Then on the day I asked for numbing cream for my daughter, and Amy made sure my daughter felt ok. Nice choice of titanium earrings and clear guidance given for after care. Thanks so much."
"Amy did two piercings for me yesterday, and I cannot recommend her enough. Kind and professional throughout the whole process, ensuring I was happy and well informed about the procedure itself and the after care. Super quick with the needle too! I will definitely be back in the future! Thank you Amy 🥰⭐️"
"I went to see Amy for a piercing jewellery change, she was so calming and put me at ease that I ended up getting a piercing done (with no pressure from her at all). I love my new piercing! Her room was so lovely and felt calming and very clean. Thank you Amy! I will definitely be back."
