Pre-Piercing Advice

Getting a new piercing can be daunting, make sure you're well prepared before your appointment so you can relax and look forward to your new piece of jewellery!

Before you come for your piercing...

Check your Anatomy

For such a small body part there are loads of options for ear piercings! Ears, however, come in all shapes and sizes meaning not all piercings are suited to everyone. We recommend you contacts us with a photo of your ear and let us know what you want ahead of your appointment.

Wash your hair

Wash your hair before your ear piercing to avoid accidentally knocking it or getting chemicals into the new piercing while it's very fresh. Depending on how often you wash your hair you're less likely to have to wash it on the day of the piercing.

Stay Hydrated

Stay Hydrated

Drink lots of water and try to get plenty of sleep. Make sure to eat a meal at least two hours your appointment. Try not to drink too much caffeine as it can thin your blood and make it harder to sit still.

No Alcohol

Stay Hydrated

We are unable to pierce anyone who arrives to their appointment under the influence of alcohol.

Please don’t alcohol the night before getting pierced either as it could thin your blood the next day.

Be Healthy

No Alcohol

Be Healthy

If you are sick or feel slightly unwell please wait until you’re better to get pierced. Coming in sick exposes the piercer and it may effect your piercing’s healing.

Medication

No Alcohol

Be Healthy

Please avoid taking pain relief / swelling reducers until after your appointment. If you are on any regular medications, you should consider asking your doctor ahead of time.

Age Requirements

8-13 years - Ear lobes ONLY - a parent or legal guardian MUST be present & must co-sign the consent form.

14-16 years - All ear piercings, nose and navel - a parent or legal guardian MUST be present & must co-sign the consent form.

16+ - All piercings

You MUST bring a valid, physical form of photo ID with you (driving license, passport or valid UK citizen card), regardless of your age, as this will be checked and we will not be able to carry out the piercing without this! Anyone under the age of 21 without physical ID will be turned away. Photocopies or photographs of ID cannot be accepted.

Under 16s must also ensure their attending parent brings photo ID along with them of the same surname as you. If this is not possible, they must bring a second form of ID with them that verifies their relationship to you, such as a birth certificate. Similarly, for legal guardians, they must bring a form of photo ID as well as that verifies their relationship to you.

Please be aware that we are unable to continue with your appointment without this consent form having been completed accurately.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have a Think 21 policy and will ask for valid photographic ID.  Please ensure that this is valid and brought with you to your appointment; a photograph of your ID will not be accepted.

Forms of ID accepted - Young Scots Card (only with the hologram), Passport, Provisional/Current driving licence.

Anyone under the age of 16 years old is classed as a minor and therefore need parental consent for any piercing. Parental consent is either biological Mum or Dad.  I'm afraid that we can't accept older siblings, grandparents, or step parents.

If you are under the care of someone who is not your biological parent, then at the point of the appointment you must present legal paperwork to state that the person who is signing your consent is your legal guardian.  i.e. Social Services paperwork, legal guardianship etc.  Without it I'm afraid we can not pierce you.

Prices include sterile titanium grade 23 jewellery as standard, however there is a collection of jewellery available for you to upgrade your new piercing to something more special.

We do not, all appointments are bookings only.

In one appointment you can get 3 piercings or 4 if they are all lobe.

Ear lobes are the quickest to heal, if you follow all the after care advice given to you they are likely to heal in around 6 weeks.

Cartilage piercings (includes Rook, Tragus, Helix, Snug, Daith, Conch, Scaffold etc) takes longer and can be anything between 3 - 6 months.

Titanium is incredibly safe for piercings. It’s 100% nickel free and hypoallergenic so it won’t irritate sensitive skin. It’s also resistant to bacterial and fungal growth, helping to reduce the risk of infection.

No, we have to pierce with jewellery that we have sourced and sterilised for insurance purposes

Ear lobe piercings are typically the least painful on the ear because it's fleshy.

Cartilage is much thicker and piercings to the Tragus and Daith are often considered the most painful.

However, pain is completely unique and different people find different piercings more painful than others. We recommend you choose the piercing that you really want rather than what may hurts the least.

If your piercing has completely fallen out please send us a message. If you have the back in and have lost the ball please try to secure it in place with a plaster or medical tape until you can come in to get the ball replaced.

Anytime after 6 weeks when the bar has a considerable amount of room to shorten and there's no swelling, bumps or migration.
